1. This heat shrink termination sleeve is made of a high-grade cross-linked polyolefin material with excellent insulation and very good resistance to tracking.
2. When shrunk with heat, the heat shrink anti-tracking tube will be sealed quite closely, which is a great way to provide waterproofness and moisture proofing, at the same time the tube is highly resistant to chemical corrosion and the elements, too.
3. With a minimum tensile strength of 10MPa and a minimum elongation of 300%, this heat-shrinkable anti-tracking tubing combines outstanding mechanical strength with superior flexibility.
Due to the sudden changes in conductor cross-section at the location of the wire end and cable terminal crimping, as well as the crimped edges and uneven shapes, commonly known insulation covering materials (PVC tape and regular sleeves) are not capable of producing a flawless fit that is fully sealed against the cable. Hence, either there is continuous or dispersed air gap at the contact interface. The air gaps are at risk of causing partial discharge, even though their occurrence is very low at normal voltage condition. Moreover, the insulation material's electro-aging degradation is ultimately caused by these long-term effects.
Solution:
With our heat-shrink termination sleeve you will get rid of those problems that are listed above through the heat-shrinkable material's shape memories of cross-linked polyolefin. When heating and shrinking, a constant radially inwardly directed shrinkage force is created, with which the tube wall is allowed to intimately seal the terminal crimping area, the conductor insulation layer interface section, and the irregular areas to form a completely seamless solid insulation seal.
In addition, its properties, such as an ultimate tensile strength of ≥10 MPa to counteract the mechanical stress and an elongation at breaking of ≥300% to ensure complete covering of any irregularly shaped part, were also fully taken care of.
Heat Shrink Anti-Tracking Tube:
Heat-shrinkable anti-tracking tubing serves as insulation for wire and cable junctions as well as cable terminations. Made by the material that has high insulation and the flame retarding property of polyolefin, this is the heat shrinking material.
