1. The inside of the cold shrink EPDM tube has a sealing layer to ensure cable joints and terminations from 0.6kV to 35kV are well protected and insulated.
2. Material of cold shrink EPDM tube is ozone-proof, UV rays resistant and has a broad temperature range. In terms of flame retardancy, it is rated as UL 94 V-0. Besides oil resistance, it is also resistant to acids and alkalis.
3. The black cold shrink tube can be used with cable joints or terminations having outer diameters in the range of 10.0–70.0 mm and the complete shrinkage length varies from 152–457 mm.
Medium and low voltage cable joints have long operated in underground pipe racks, overhead installations or coastal areas salt spray environments. The moisture penetration of electrochemical corrosion has been the leading cause of insulation degradation. In case ordinary cold shrink tubing with seal layer is not properly designed so that rubber resilience of such tubing gets gradually diminished and the tube will sooner or later start getting moisture channels formed at its interface which result either in a significant drop of an insulation level or worse - an electric breakdown.
With a sealing putty layer already there in our EPDM cold shrink tube, these problems are fixed quite well. This putty layer after compression flows, and during shrinking, it tightly fills up the wrinkles and gaps on the cable joint surface, forming a permanently waterproof seal. The material has been tested for low-temperature performance at -40°C and thermal shock at 90°C without developing cracks. It retains its suppleness up to a temperature of -40℃ to 120℃, does not harden or crack, and thus guarantees sealing stability for years.

Product Advantages:
1. EPDM rubber cold-shrinkable tubing is especially suited to 0.6kV-35kV cable joints medium and low voltage. It comes with an integrated sealing sealant layer that is activated by pressure when cold shrinking occurs. This sealing sealant flows into the cable joint, fills the gaps and rough areas to create a permanent waterproof barrier and prevent moisture, rainwater and groundwater from being absorbed into the cable joint.
2. EPDM cold shrink tubing material remains flexible across extreme climates ranging from -40℃ down to 120℃. Under prolonged cold testing or sudden temperature cycles, there won't be splitting. Also, thermal shock testing results did not show cracking. The jacket material follows the conductor movement caused by loading, unloading, and vibrations. Long-term usage also does not cause hardening or fracturing. This prevents loss of elasticity at the conductor/interface that leads to relaxation of joints.
3. EPDM rubber cold shink tube is made of materials which do not get affected by ozone, ultraviolet radiation, acid and alkaline corrosion. Consequently, this material is very durable and can survive for long even in outdoor areas where there is high amount of salt due to coastal spray as well as industry pollution. Service life of the material is similar to that of cable, which will help users avoid replacing/rewiring midway through the cable's life cycle thereby saving on the cost of maintenance.
4. The cold shrink EPDM tube is made using a flame-retardant formula and complies with UL 94 V-0 or IEC 60332-1 standards. During electrical fault conditions, the component prevents the passage of flames and will not drip when burned, thus being the perfect choice for commercial offices, high-density residential complexes as well as industrial areas where fire safety is a prerequisite.
5. The black cold shrink tube is already enlarged a bit before it is shipped, that is how it shrinks back again when the internal support strip is peeled off right at the installation spot, and only at 25 degree Celsius. No heater is needed for the whole procedure which definitely makes this kind of tubing ideal for the cases like tight cable ducts, pipe racks located under the ground, or in places with fire danger. Besides, since the whole operation can be done by a single worker, it not only minimizes labor and time but also eases installation.

Based on the Above Characteristics, Our EPDM Cold Shrink Sleeve Is Widely Applicable to the Following Scenarios:
1. This product is ideal for residential complexes, commercial buildings, and large scale urban electricity distribution networks. It offers a insulation sealing solution for cable joints and terminations working on voltages from 0.6kV up to 35kV.
2. Facilities and sites such as oil and gas plants, chemical plants, and mining that deal with the need for protection against oil, solvents, and chemical corrosion. Also, where hot-mounted installation (open flame heating) is unsafe.
3. Outside in the daylight, the cables of the outdoor lights will run alongside the cables of the electricity and communication lines. These cables would be laid underground and run between trenches. A system where different parts are connected by cables is such a system that requires the cables to be resistant to water, and the insulation on the cables should not be affected by being in contact with moisture.
4. Making insulating covers for terminal lugs, busbars, and wire connectors housed inside switchgears, control panels and industrial machines to get rid of dust gathering and unintended contacts. This method also contributes to the enhancement of the machines' functional safety.

About CCMT:
We are engaged in the area of production, research and development as well as sales of cable accessories and insulation protection products since 1986. With experience of more than 40 years in the related sectors, one can definitely count on a good quality product here. Our production plant measures 10,000 square meters, we have over 100 permanent work forces and a large number of modern machines which we have in 40 pieces altogether. Our cold shrink tubing is one of the main products which is produced through three silicone extrusion production lines and a total monthly output is about 100,000 meters. (Production capacity varies depending on the product; please consult us for details), which guarantees a timely delivery of bulk orders.

Certification Standards:
Our quality management system is ISO 9001:2015 (No. 00123Q36311R5M/2200) certified. Our cold shrink tubing products have undergone type testing for cable cold shrink terminals and intermediate joints by an independent third-party laboratory and have obtained CE certification.
Products meet RoHS and REACH environmental requirements. Each batch undergoes appearance, quantity, and performance testing before leaving the factory, accompanied by a factory inspection report to ensure quality traceability.

Export Cooperation:
We have exported cable accessories in bulk to dozens of countries and regions in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and South America, while our tape products have entered the EU market. During this process, we supplied nearly one million meters of low-voltage heat shrink tubing to ABB and tens of tons of potting compound to Shell.
Exhibition Activities:
We participated in the Hannover Messe in 2023, establishing technical exchanges with customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and gathering new international market demands for high-reliability cable accessories. In 2024, we participated in the Dubai Electricity Show, showcasing a series of cable accessories covering up to 220kV, attracting in-depth discussions with customers from multiple Middle Eastern countries.

FAQ:
1. Are the sizes of your EPDM cold shrink sleeves compatible with my existing cables?
Yes. Our products offer a full range of sizes from JNG25 to JNG80, suitable for cables with outer diameters ranging from 10.0mm to 70.0mm, and shrinkable lengths from 152mm to 457mm. You can find the corresponding model from the parameters by simply comparing the measured outer diameter at the cable joint.
2. Will the EPDM cold shrink sleeve loosen or allow water to enter after long-term use?
Under normal use, it will not. Our materials showed no cracking after low-temperature tests at -40℃ and thermal shock tests at 90℃. They maintain elasticity within the temperature range of -40℃ to 120℃, without hardening or cracking, and can normally be used for more than 20 years.
