1. The silicone cold shrink tube with mastic has a dielectric strength of 9.1 kV/mm, which makes it possible for the material to be used very safely and reliably at electric junctions where voltage is present across the material.
2. The cold shrink with mastic offers tensile strength of ≥7 MPa and elongation at break ≥650%, allowing a very good balance between strength and flexibility.
3. The cold shrink tube with adhesive is highly resistant to chemical exposure to acids, alkalis, oils, and greases and, therefore, its applicability includes very harsh environments in the industries and also in the chemical laboratories.
The traditional insulation protection ways often use heat shrink tubing or tape as insulators. A sealing layer, on the other hand, may have gaps because of thermal expansion and contraction and vibration, etc. Moreover, prolonged exposure to UV radiation, ozone, and large fluctuations in temperature will result in tape aging and cracking. That is what will lead to water ingress and lower insulation properties, hence the likelihood of short circuits and signal loss.
This has been achieved by a silicone cold shrink mastic tube with a high strength sealing layer forming a waterproof and dustproof seal through the sealing material and the tube wall. Besides having good electrical properties, this kind of material has been tested for extreme temperatures, i.e., -60°C to 200°C. It has also undergone tests for aging, UV (1000 hours) and ozone (70 hours) and it has retained all its mechanical and electrical properties that allow it to remain functional during long-term outdoors' use, thereby eliminating any possible causes of joint protection faults.

Product Advantages:
1. Our cold shrink tube with mastic gets installed on the support strip first before expansion. When the support strip is pulled off on-site, it will be self-shrunk, without heating or manual bending, guaranteeing the sealed surface for every joint. This feature is very helpful if you're dealing with a large number of joints to be installed at high altitudes or in narrow areas.
2. We provide cold shrink tube with adhesive whose built-in sealing layer is simultaneously vulcanised with the tube wall to form an inseparable whole. Following shrinkage, it keeps its elastic compression which can effectively prevent creeping and separation caused by long-term vibration and thermalf expansion and contraction. In this way, the cold shrink tube with adhesive avoids the problems of loosening, leakage and other issues that tapes or heat shrink tubes could potentially have.
3. Our built-in mastic cold shrink tube is of such low specific gravity, 1.06-1.18, that it is very lightweight, thereby lightens the burden on cables significantly. In addition, the tube remains weather-resistant for an exceptionally long period. Moreover, as there's no need for any maintenance after the completion of installation, we practically save time and money for a base station from such things as joint failures.

What Scenarios Are Built in Mastic Cold Shrink Tubes Suitable For?
·Sealing protection in an enclosed space at the point of junction between a communication base station RRU device and feeder lines.
·Long-term moisture-proof insulation protection for outdoor coaxial cable joints and entry points.
·Corrosion-resistant covering for instrument control line joints in petrochemical and coastal industrial areas.
·Vibration-resistant sealing for cable joints inside wind farm towers and photovoltaic combiner boxes.
·Waterproof sealing for power line inlets of roadside sensors and 5G small base stations in smart cities.
·Rapid cold-shrink protection for intermediate joints of interconnecting indoor and outdoor units in microwave equipment.

About CCMT:
With nearly forty years in business since our founding in 1986, we've become an expert in cable accessories and insulation protection through material research and development and product manufacturing.
Thanks to the in-house large-scale production base, our company is able to make high quality products efficiently. This factory, which spans about 10,000 square meters, operates with the support of 200+ employees and a team of more than 40 professional production equipment. It has enabled us to create a well-established manufacturing process from raw material and formulation design to the final product delivery.

Certification Standards.
We strictly adhere to the ISO 9001:2015 (No. 00123Q36311R5M/2200) quality management system in our production and inspection. Each batch undergoes item-by-item inspection of appearance, dimensions, and sealing before leaving the factory, and traceable batch inspection records are provided with each shipment. We have also obtained CE EU sealing tape certification and product material safety certification from SGS.

Export Cooperation.
Using our industrial know-how accumulated over a period of four decades, we have been able to set up successful and long-term collaborations with firms like ABB, Raychem, and 3M. We were the suppliers for special customized insulating tapes - tens of thousands of rolls to 3M and almost a million meters for ABB of low-voltage heat shrink tubing. That implies our materials have been used in the power and communication projects in different regions like, for example, the EU, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and in South America, among others.
Exhibition Activities.
In the month of November 2025, our business received an invitation to exhibit at the 32nd Shanghai International Power Equipment & Technology Exhibition. Throughout the exhibition, we had discussions with representatives from power engineering organizations in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Europe on the choice of sealing materials for different climatic conditions; these discussions have laid the groundwork for our regional customization and export certification work through gathering of practical evidence.

FAQ:
1. Will covering coaxial cable connectors with cold shrink tubing affect signal transmission quality?
Silicone cold shrink tubing with mastic only provides electrical insulation and sealing protection; it does not contact the conductor core and does not affect signal transmission. With a dielectric strength ≥9.1 kV/mm, it effectively isolates the shielding layer from the external environment, preventing increased contact resistance and signal attenuation caused by moisture intrusion.
2. What temporary repair solutions are available on-site for unexpected damage to silicone cold shrink tubing with mastic after installation?
Damaged cold shrink tubing cannot be locally repaired and must be replaced with a new tubing. It is recommended to prepare 5%–10% spare tubing based on the number of joints during installation. For long-term outdoor use, waterproof insulating sealing tape can be used as an outer reinforcement to enhance resistance to mechanical damage.
