1. Cold-shrink terminations are ideal for power systems rated from 1 kV to 36 kV and provide the necessary insulation and sealing for cables at low, medium, and high voltage.
2. As the cold-shrink product is constructed from pre-expanded silicone rubber, it enables very quick and easy installation without the use of open flame heating or special heat-shrink equipment.
3. Cold-shrink terminations of this type have been subjected to extensive performance testing which includes AC voltage withstanding, partial discharge, impulse voltage, thermal cycle and it is only upon the successful completion of these tests that the terminations are able to guarantee safe and long-lasting operation.
At the stages when power systems, distribution lines or renewable energy installations are being constructed, traditional cable termination techniques usually involve the use of flame heating, manual bending or rather involved installation operations. Not only these approaches lead to low installation speed, they are also strongly dependent on external factors such as the environment, the available space and the skill level of the workman. In case the sealing is not adequately done or stress control is insufficient, partial discharge, insulation deterioration and in the worst cases even a breakdown of the dielectric could occur.
Our Solution:
Our termination solution involves the use of silicone rubber material that gets pre-expanded and then compressed, making the cold shrink installation super easy. The process consists of merely pulling out the internal support core and letting the shrinking work done thanks to elasticity of the material without need for external heating devices or open fires.
The product guarantees a constant and uniform radial pressure thereby completely preventing air gaps and at the same time greatly improvement of the electric field. Besides, a tight seal and insulation, waterproof protection can be achieved through these features. This combination leads to a durable and safe terminating protection system for power distribution lines.

Cold shrinkable cable ends come with a pre-factory compressed silicone rubber core that doesn't require heating appliances for installation. When it is put in place, removing the support rod, letting the part shrink naturally and hold in place. Such a feature allows shorter work time, more efficient performance, and safer environment for workers, which is why these terminals are often recommended where installation is limited with regards to space, where a worker is required to work at the height or the risk of the workplace explosion is very high.
