This article will compare two types of potting compound in cable connection sealing: cable potting glue and epoxy potting compound. Selecting​‍​‌‍​‍‌ the right cable should involve a matching of its technical specifications with its service environment in the first place; hardness alone is not a reason for selecting cables. Besides, it is emphasized that durable and stable connection can only come about if conductor connection, insulation, sealing as well as mechanical protection are seen as the whole of ​‍​‌‍​‍‌it.
