Advantages of Transformer Bushing Covers:
1. The bushing cover provides electrical insulation and protects live parts by isolating them from the surrounding environment, thus preventing the risk of breakdown. It was found during tests that the product can withstand a voltage of 36 kV (AC, 50 Hz) for one minute and 42 kV for one minute across a 70 mm gap without breakdown or flashover.
2. The bushing cover transformer features a high degree of weather resistance that enables it to be used for a long time even if it faces the harshest climatic conditions without any reduction of its efficiency. Tests have proven that the cover doesn't get the slightest sign of change in its appearance no matter if it has been put at high temperatures of 125°C for 96 hours or low temperatures of -40°C for the same time. In addition, the product is still unaffected after 1,000 hours of exposure to UV-C radiation (black panel temperature: 63±3°C, UV-wavelength: 254 nm, radiation: 10 W/(m²·nm)) and after a 168-hour salt neutrality test (neutral salt spray) which validates once more its anti-corrosion and anti-degradation capabilities.
3. The bushing covers feature excellent flexibility, allowing them to conform closely to the shape of transformer components and provide reliable protection against mechanical damage such as impacts and scratches. Under conditions of (23±2)°C and (50±10)% humidity, the covers exhibit a mechanical puncture resistance of 121 N; furthermore, after pre-conditioning at high temperatures (70°C) and low temperatures (-40°C) for two hours each, they show no cracking at the fold line when subjected to a 10 kg static load for 30 seconds while folded.
