Solution:
Heat-shrink cable end caps, consisting of cross-linked polyolefin heat-shrinkable materials, were developed to meet the need for cable tip sealing and protection. 1. Excellent Sealing and Protection Performance.
High-performance hot melt adhesives cover the inner wall of heat shrink caps. This allows for a perfect bonding with the cable's outer sheath after heat shrinking and forms a reliable waterproof, moisture-proof, and dust-proof sealing layer, which effectively stops the ingress of moisture and contaminants to the cable. In parallel, the product's water uptake is ≤0.1% at a room temperature of 23±2℃ over 24 hours, thus proving that there is little moisture absorption even when stored or operated in very humid places.

We use cross-linked polyolefin heat shrinkable material, which possesses excellent electrical insulation properties. Its volume resistivity is ≥1×10¹³Ω·cm, and dielectric strength is ≥15 kV/mm, meeting the insulation strength requirements of power and communication cable ends. Furthermore, the material resists ultraviolet radiation, ozone, oxidation, and various harsh environmental factors, with a low embrittlement temperature of -40℃ (ISO 974). It can also pass a 160℃, 4-hour thermal shock test (without cracking), providing durable protection for the cable and extending its service life.

Heat shrink wire caps begin to shrink at about 90℃ when heated and will completely contract at around 120℃. After being heat treated, they enable quick installation and result in the creation of a strong and reliable seal. Yes, it is manufactured using heat-shrinkable cross-linked polyethylene which not only resists UV radiation, ozone and moisture but also protects against environmental degradation, thus being ideal for outdoor and severe environmental conditions where cable ends require durable sealing protection over an extended period.
2. Does the installation of heat shrinkable end caps require special equipment?
No complicated equipment is required as you can simply use heating tools like a heat gun for installing the product. The material starts to shrink around 90°C and completely shrinks at 120°C.
