1. Cold shrink cable end caps are made of silicone rubber, a material that is chosen because of its very good insulating and protective properties. 2. Power cable endings are insulated, sealed, and protected by specialized cable end caps designed for these purposes only. Therefore, the components are well protected against any outside damage. 3. The end cap shrinks only at low temperature and fully covers the cables, so there is no requirement to use any extra heating devices to finish the job during the installation phase.
